How do I book a session?

Contact me via my website or Facebook to set up your session.  I require a signed contract and down payment to secure your spot on my calendar.  This down payment is non-refundable, but is applied to the overall cost of the session.  

When will the session take place?

I prefer shooting my sessions within two hours of sunset when lighting is best.  However, I do my best to accommodate each client's specific needs.

Where will the session take place?

After booking your session and getting to know you a little bit, I choose a location that will both fit my brand and tell your family's story uniquely.  Most sessions take place within ten miles of my home.  For special location requests from clients, I need to view the location prior to the session in order to confirm if it will work.

What do I wear for my session?

I am more than happy to guide you in outfit choices prior to your session.  There are many options, and often you won't need to shop for a whole new wardrobe to look good.  It's all about textures, color palettes, and knowing how to tie it all together.  There are many resources available to customize a look that makes you not only feel comfortable but look great as well!  I especially encourage a pre-session consultation for high school seniors so that your session is uniquely you.

When do I pay for my session?

A down payment will be collected when you book a session, which applies to the overall cost of the session.  The remaining balance is due at the time of the session.

What can I expect during the session?

For family sessions, I always spend time posing more traditional portraits but I also encourage genuine interactions because capturing real, raw moments of love and connection is my passion.  For senior sessions, I customize each session to the unique personality and interests of the senior which means every session is an adventure full of fun and laughs!  For newborn sessions, I prefer a more lifestyle approach, capturing you in your home as you welcome your new little one into the family and then posing baby on their own in various props that I supply.  

Do I receive digital files with the session price?

Yes!  After the session is complete, I cull and edit all the best images from your session and then deliver them to you in digital format so that you can print them yourself.  A typical session will have between 30-35 files in the final gallery, though more times than not, I include more because I usually love too many to narrow it down!

Where should I print my images?

I offer a wide range of professional printing options at an additional cost for clients in order to ensure the best quality and color rendering of your memories.  However, most clients enjoy the freedom to print their own images.  In this case, I send clients to mpix.com.  No matter where you choose to print your images, please be aware that one-hour labs and big box store labs are unpredictable and usually will not print accurately.  My computer is calibrated to my professional lab's specifications so that anything printed through me will be of the best quality.

Will you shoot my wedding/event?

As much as I absolutely love love (and I do shoot engagement sessions!), I do not shoot weddings or events.  I leave this area of photography to those who specialize in weddings and events.  If you're looking for a wedding photographer, please contact me and I can send you to my local favorites!
